So perhaps I have found a love of baking on these long hot summer days when I am at home alone for the majority of the time.
My boyfrind and I have a christening to go to – twins! The mummy said she didn’t have a cake and so I thought it only right I made her one, I want to say it did or didn’t turn out as I expected, but well, true to my unorganised – self I didn’t plan for how it was going to turn out!
I don’t think it looks bad considering this really isn’t something I do regularly, though I suppose it really isn’t about how it looks, it’s about the taste. I’ll leave that to the 40+ people to decide tomorrow though shall I?
A while ago we got sent some freebie stickers in the post from hipp organic and I wasn’t sure what to do with them…. Eventually I decided they would look great on my nephews toybox. Instead of just sticking them on out of context I decided it would be a good idea to draw in a background. I quickly sketched and coloured in a circus scene on a cut down A3 piece of paper and stuck the stickers on afterwards to finish it off. What you can’t see from the picture is that the bunting says ‘William’s toys’ on it. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!
So today I made mummy a thank you card because she looked after our rabbits whilst we went on holiday, I was quite proud of it as I pressed the flowers myself, it’s the first time I’ve ever done it and I think they turned out ok! I also sewed the card togetherand I think that looks quite neat! 🙂
So I made these ones for my best friend Tiff in the colours that she asked for, I do hope she likes them! I am going to give them to her tonight when she comes round to see me 🙂
Isn’t it funny how much faster we work when we have a dealine to meet? Though I did leave it too late to finish them and now the glitter glue isn’t dry -cue me sitting wafting a hairdryer- *sigh* Ahh well it will all be worth it if she likes them 🙂
Sorry for the fact that the picture is the wrong way around. I have no idea how that can be fixed I’m afraid.
So I have a christening to go to soon and both mummy and babies love ther converse, so I wanted to make something a little original, however as you can see, this little converse icing shoe went terribly wrong! Seems, I ought to stay away from edible crafts!
So this is the base of my little plarn basket I have begun making, it has already given me a blister on my finger! I think it’s cute, but I might learn to crochet as the patterns are so much prettier… I do however like that the bags from different shops give the lovely stripey effect. Oh! and of course that the bags from Tesco says recycle on them, makes me feel like a good human being 😉
Just a simple little flower I made using a free pattern I found online, if you click on the photo it should take you through to the pattern I used. This one is tied to our headboard, I think I will make a few more in different colours to brighten it up, the ‘LOVE’ canvases are above the bed now too 🙂 Very summery and flowery and bright in the bedroom now!
Finally finished! Really enjoyed doing these 🙂 have been thinking about doing some with names on and other inspirational words like ‘hope’ and ‘faith’. I have an order in for a ‘love’ one which will be my next lot, but after that I think I will do one which says ‘peace’ and have the nuclear dissarmerment symbol on it.
